Junior Achievement brings the real world to the classroom and after-school setting with hands-on experiences that teach young people about business and the economics of life.

The New Jersey Business Hall of Fame event  has been established
to honor New Jersey’s business leaders and role models to today’s youth.

Three laureates will be recognized for their outstanding performances and accomplishments in their industries
and for their commitment to improving the quality of life in New Jersey.

Laureate induction into the New Jersey Business Hall of Fame is a lifetime achievement award for individuals who have made a major, positive impact on New Jersey through the private sector economy or as an advocate of business in the public policy, government, or education sectorsInductees have consistently demonstrated throughout their professional lives:

  • Business excellence                    
  • Visionary, innovative leadership
  • Community involvement            
  • High ethical standards

Through these accomplishments, Laureates serve as role models for the next generation of business leaders, many of whom are currently Junior Achievement students.

Three Laureates are inducted annually and are drawn from one of the following categories:

  • Those who are honored posthumously           
  • Those who are no longer active in a business for which they are being honored
  • Those who are in the twilight of their career  
  • Those who are in the prime of their career    

    Laureates are selected by a committee comprised of leadership from the three partnering organizations – Junior Achievement of New Jersey, the New Jersey Business and Industry Association, and The Star-Ledger as well as past JA-NJ Hall of Fame Honorees.
